The quartz tube for the transfer is provided to prevent the quartz tube from being damaged by bumping against although the quartz tubes are interconnected. A heating portion(210) is comprised of hot plates(212,214). The quartz tube (C) is the tube type in which the inside is vacant. The quartz tube is transferred to the state inserting the lamp(L) along the longitudinal direction of the quartz tube rotating unit(230) and the feed block part(220). A cap(240) is positioned at the both end parts of the quartz tube and surrounds the circumference of the quartz tube. The quartz tube rotating unit and the feed block part prevent the quartz tube from being damaged during the transfer of the quartz tube.
