A method and a server for determining a mobile terminal position using weighted average algorithm are provided to get a weighted average by using a plurality of determination related information. A first PPMS is extracted from a mobile terminal of the place for to estimating location(S 400). A second PPMS is extracted about second pCells belonging to the second pCell group generated from the whole pCell group stored in the location server my pCell DB(S 402). The positional similarity between the place for to estimating location and second pCells belonging to the second pCell group are calculated(S 404). The candidate pCell group consisting of the second pCells satisfying when the similarity about calculated second pCells is compared with critical value, the critical condition is produced(S 406). The location of the mobile terminal is estimated by calculating weighted average using location information of pCells and similarity variation(S 408).
