<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drink container holding mechanism in which the diameter compensation element (flap) is not get caught by a narrow part of a drink container. <P>SOLUTION: The drink container holding mechanism 100 comprises: a cylindrical accommodation part 20 whose upper end accommodating the drink container 103 is open; and a flap 40 arranged in a hole 21a formed in the peripheral wall 21d of the container 20 so as to move along the hole 21a, and rising from the hole 21a and setting into the accommodation part 20. The drink container holding mechanism is equipped with an energizing member 60 for projecting the flap 40 into the accommodation part 20.
