PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler for an outdoor unit and its manufacturing method capable of being installed in a machine chamber in a compact state by increasing a degree of freedom in designing a refrigerant pipe in the machine chamber of the outdoor unit. SOLUTION: A first muffler 61 is disposed in the machine chamber S1 in the outdoor unit 2 having a structure that the inside of a roughly rectangular parallelepiped casing 51 is divided into an air blower chamber S1 and the machine chamber S2, and comprises a main body portion 62 having a curved part, and two connection pipe portions 63, 64 integrated with the main body portion in a state that their pipe diameters are continuously reduced from both ends of the main body portion 62.
