PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve electron emitting performance, in an electron emitting electrode for emitting an electron by being applied with a voltage. SOLUTION: This electron emitting electrode has an electrode part composed of a conductor (a conductor 31 or carbon fiber 41) emitting the electron by being applied with the voltage of a predetermined magnitude. The conductor 31 or the carbon fiber 41 is bundled in a plurality of bundles. A larger volume of electrons can be emitted to obtain an emitting volume of electrons as a whole, by emitting the electrons respectively from the conductor 31 or the carbon fiber 41 by being applied with the voltage via a common terminal 35 connected to the electrode part. Energy can be saved by restraining the voltage applied to an electrode by an extent capable of emitting more electrons. Since the electron emitting volume can be shared by the conductor 31 or the carbon fiber 41, the consumption of the individual conductor 31 or the carbon fiber 41 can be restrained.
