PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector in which even if an external contact is formed by only pressing work from a sheet of conductive metal plate, the joining portion of a cylindrical contact section does not spread and which does not come inadvertently out of a mating connector. SOLUTION: A blade latch piece is formed from a cylindrical contact section in a direction of a joining portion of the cylindrical contact section which is formed by forming from a sheet of conductive metal plate, and is housed in the blade latch recess at the bottom of a horizontal insulating section protruding to the direction of the joining portion. Even if a coaxial cable that is fixed to the joining portion is pulled up, the blade latch piece contacts the inner top face of the blade latch recess and the cylindrical contact section does not spread as the joining portion is open and it does not come out of the mating connector.
