PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof operation button preventive of switch-on caused by water pressure and favorably operable under water and also at atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: The waterproof button 200a comprises a thrust button 300 exposed to the outside of a waterproof camera 100, an elastic member 600a for preventing the entry of water into the waterproof camera 100, and a supporting member 500a for supporting the elastic member 600a. Around a protruded portion 630a, a circular first rib 540a is provided which is protruded from the face on the side of the elastic member 600a. Inside a water stop rib 610a, a second rib 550a is provided which is protruded toward the elastic member 600a. The elastic member 600a has the first and the second ribs 540a, 550a so that an area encircled by the first rib 540a and the second rib 550a is larger than an area encircled by the first rib 540a.
