PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is capable of preventing the loosening of a flexible printed circuit due to the resilience of the flexible printed circuit by forming a structure adapted to mount the flexible printed circuit to a coupling groove disposed on a mold part of a backlight unit (BLU), and allows the flexible printed circuit to be easily coupled to the coupling groove by disposing a curved surface on the upper part of the coupling groove, and to provide a method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 100 includes: a mold part 110; an optical sheet 123 formed on the upper part of the mold part; and the flexible printed circuit 130 formed on one side surface of the optical sheet, wherein the coupling groove 113 for fixing and coupling the flexible printed circuit is formed on the mold part.
