PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens device capable of turning an operation ring manually or electrically without switching between the on and off positions of a clutch, the lens device being designed to prevent an increase in operating current or generation of operating noise. SOLUTION: The zoom lens 10 includes: a lens barrel 12 having a movable zoom lens groups; a zoom ring 18 rotated to move the zoom lens groups; and a zoom motor 40 for rotating the zoom ring 18. Between the zoom motor 40 and the zoom ring 18, the reverse input shut-off clutch 42 is disposed which transmits normal/reverse rotation torque from the zoom motor 40 to the zoom ring 18 and shuts off the transmission normal/reverse rotation torque from the zoom ring 18 to the zoom motor 40.
