PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device using an LCD, which can adopt a standardized article as the LCD and, moreover, can prevent a short circuit between a terminal of the LCD and a shielding metal plate. SOLUTION: The display device includes: a holder 3 disposed on a substrate 2; the LCD 4 disposed on the holder 3 and has terminals 6 on a side surface; and the shielding metal plate 5 disposed on the LCD 4; wherein fitting protrusions 13 are disposed on the side surface of the holder 3; fitting holes 17 fitted with the fitting protrusions 13 are disposed on the shielding metal plate 5; further, a recess 9 having a bottom part 8 is disposed on a side surface of the holder 3; guide holes 10 into which the terminals 6 are inserted are disposed on the bottom part 8 and a side surface part of the shielding metal plate 5 is abutted to a side part of the bottom part 8.
