PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of light generated from a phosphor, to allow to cope with faults of a light source and a circuit, and to attain cost reduction and size reduction. SOLUTION: The phosphor light source device 1 includes: the phosphor 5 including a fluorescent substance 3; and a case 7 housing the phosphor 5 and constituted of a material for reflecting fluorescence 15 generated in the fluorescent substance 3. On at least a part of the case 7, an optical filter 9 for transmitting excitation light 13 for exciting the fluorescent substance 3 and reflecting the fluorescence 15 and a fluorescence transmission window 11 for transmitting the fluorescence 15 are provided.
