PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the effects of cross talk and stabilize ejection operation in discrete liquid chambers aligned at high density. SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting head is provided with an ejecting port 21 for ejecting liquid, a discrete liquid chamber 16 which communicates with the liquid ejecting port 21, an energy generating means which generates energy for ejecting liquid provided in the discrete liquid chamber 16, a common liquid chamber 19 for supplying liquid to a plurality of discrete liquid chambers 16, an orifice communicating path 17 constituting a flow path to communicate between the ejecting port 21 and the discrete liquid chamber 16 and a common liquid chamber path 18 which communicates between the discrete liquid chamber 16 and the common liquid chamber 19.
