PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding face structure for actualizing low friction while shortening a run-in process. SOLUTION: In the sliding face structure, a sliding face 1a of a first member 1 and a sliding face 2a of a second member 2 relatively slide under the existence of lubricant. On the sliding face 1a of at least one of the first member 1 and the second member 2, a plurality of grating portion 3 consisting of a plurality of irregular faces are formed along the sliding direction.
