PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for operating an injection valve, actuated by a piezo element actuator, and implementing operation of a specific type at relatively low cost and with high reliability. SOLUTION: A charging and discharging means includes: a voltage source supplying a plurality of voltage levels corresponding to various valve opening positions; and a switching means for switching over between the plurality of voltage levels. The charging and discharging means has a voltage source provided with charging voltage level and discharging voltage level; and a time-controlled switching means for selectively applying the charging voltage level or discharging voltage level to the piezo actuator under time control, and setting desired voltage of piezo element respectively.
