PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize reduction in its useful life by heating, by maximally quickly heating a ceramic glow plug up to its operation temperature under the lowest load. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a heating method of its glow plug by applying variable voltage to the ceramic glow plug, and can increase voltage in a time average shape super-proportional to an elapsed heating time by starting from a reference value, and also relates to a glow plug control device for performing this method.
