A protection part combination for openings, particularly for ends of air flues, such as chimneys, which protection part combination comprises a cover part (5) in which there is at least one opening (6), and at least one protection part (4) to be fastened in the cover part. In the cover part, guide elements (9) are arranged in which counter elements (13) arranged in the protection part are fittable such that the protection part (4) is movable supported by the guide elements (9) slidingly in relation to the cover part (5) between at least two positions, a first position in which the protection part (4) is at the point of the opening (6) and a second position in which the protection part (4) is moved away from the point of the opening (6). The invention also relates to the protection part (4) and the cover part (5).
