PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Karaoke equipment that makes a singer know what part of a singing of Karaoke music was sung well and what part was not sung well. SOLUTION: A sung melody is divided into three registers which are an upper register, an intermediate register, and a lower register according to guide melody data in music data. Scoring is performed by comparing a singing voice signal which is inputted in timing to the playing of the Karaoke music is compared with the guide melody data and scoring results are totaled by the three registers. After the music ends, the scoring results by the registers and total scores are displayed and key control and advice on another piece of Karaoke music are displayed according to a distribution of points (scoring result) by the registers.
