Provided are an analyzing apparatus and a method for eliminating the abnormality of the analyzing apparatus. The analyzing apparatus comprises a plurality of agitating devices (20, 26 and 27) including a plurality of sound wave generating elements (23) mounted individually in a plurality of containers containing liquids, for generating sound waves toward the liquids, and driving units (22) for driving the plural sound wave generating elements, thereby to agitate the liquids with the sound waves generated by the sound wave generating elements. Further comprised are power detecting units (24) for detecting the traveling-wave powers outputted by the driving units and the reflected-wave powers reflected from the sound wave generating elements, and a control unit (15) for deciding the presence/absence of the abnormality on the side of the sound wave generating element or the driving unit of each of the agitating devices on the basis of the reflectance of the electric power, thereby to control the continuation or intermission of the analyzing operation on the basis of the decision result. |
