A stand 10 for a container 30, the stand 10 comprising a body portion 11, 12 having a bottom ground-engaging surface 14, and a raised top surface 15 defining a transverse recess 16 for receiving the container 30. The stand 10 also has roller means 21, 22, 23 on opposite sides of the recess 16 for rotatably supporting the container 30 and an inclined ramp 17,18 extending upwardly from the bottom surface 14 towards the top surface 15. The container 30 is preferably a water barrel which may be rolled up the ramp 17, 18 and deposited in the recess 16. The stand 10 may be collapsible and the distance between body portions 11, 12 adjustable to accommodate differently sized containers. |
