A coating device for coating a liquid medium is provided to allow an identical protection sleeve to be used to the storage part having different height, thereby reducing the need related to the preparation of protection sleeves. A coating device(1) for coating a liquid medium comprises a medium storage part(2); a coater(3); and a protection sleeve(5) which surrounds the coater in the medium storage part and is firmly connected to the medium storage part and whose inner diameter (Is) is larger than the outer diameter (Aa) of the coater entering into the storage part, wherein the protection sleeve is supported on the bottom(14) of the storage part by the elastic sleeve part(15).
