COSMETIC PREPARATION CONTAINING FLAKY GLASS

A cosmetic preparation containing a flaky glass incorporated therein. This flaky glass is constituted of components comprising at least 52 mass% silicon dioxide and up to 5 mass% alkali metal oxide(s). The flaky glass has an average thickness of 0.1-1.0 mum, an average particle diameter of 1-100 mum, and an average aspect ratio, which is obtained by dividing the average particle diameter by the average thickness, of 10 or higher. This flaky glass has a particle size distribution in which when the particle diameter corresponding to the point where the cumulative mass from the small-particle-diameter side reaches 10% is expressed by D10 and the particle diameter corresponding to the point where the cumulative mass from the small-particle-diameter side reaches 90% is expressed by D90, then the particle size distribution index obtained by dividing D90 by D10 is 5.0 or lower.
