An end fitting for a cable 13, Fig. 2, having a nipple or sleeve 12 secured directly thereon, comprises a U-shaped member 10 apertured at 11 in its base to accommodate the cable and slotted at 14 in its side walls, the inner edges of the slots 14 gripping and centralizing the nipple or sleeve 12. The extremities 15 are joggled inwardly and have apertures 16 for a coupling pin. In a modified construction, Fig. 5, the aperture 11 is replaced by a slot 17 and the nipple or sleeve 12, Fig. 7, has opposed flats 18 that engage in the slot 17 to prevent angular movement of the nipple in the fitting. |
