PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a microcapsule having slow-release characteristics, elution characteristics, and microcapsule strength which have been difficult to realize so far. SOLUTION: In a multi-dimple structure microcapsule, a plurality of dimples are formed in the inner surface and/or outer surface of a microcapsule wall. The average rim diameter of the dimples is 0.001-5μm, the average density of the dimples per unit surface area of a capsule resin wall is 0.01-100 pieces/μm<SP>2</SP>, and the average particle size of the capsules is 0.01-500μm.
