Tooth belt made of elastomeric material and method for production of same

The belt (10) has teeth on one side and a wavy profile (11) on the opposite side which passes over guide rollers. The new feature is smoothing of the wavy profile to a geometrically-calculable, predetermined dimension. Wave depth in the tooth block region is determined mathematically. The relevant variables are related by a mathematical formula given in the disclosure. They include the arc- or curve height, the guide roller diameter, the flexurally-rigid base width of the tooth block and the central angle subtended. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the toothed, wavy belt.
