A terminal device for providing a touch screen function and a method for performing the function capable of measuring the enlarged area of the touch screen inputted from a user are provided to enlarge the contents displayed on the touch screen by clicking a selected area. The touch information of user is input to an input unit(101) from the touch screen. The range setting part(102) measures the place value of the inputted touch information. The movement route of the touch information is measured by using the place value of the inputted touch information A controller(103) enlarges into the content displayed on the enlarged area of the touch screen. The controller sets up the domain of the selected touch screen within the range in accordance with the enlarged area.
