A system for use in the unloading of vehicles and trailers having an open sided payload platform comprises first and second posts 2, 5. Each post has upper and lower ends with a support line 8 extending between the upper ends 3, 6 of the posts. Means is provided at the lower end 4 of the first post of sufficient size to enable a lorry to be parked so that the rear or one of the rear sets of wheels engages the means. The second post 5 is also provided with engagement means that engages the lorry or trailer near the end of the payload platform remote from the rear wheels. The posts are securely held in position by the weight of lorry or trailer and enable an operative to be secured to the support line via a safety harness. |
