The covering membrane, primarily for use on roofs and walls, comprises a membrane 1 to which spacer elements 2 are fixed or moulded that incorporate fixing elements 3 to which plate elements 4 can be attached. The spacer elements are preferably made of a flexible material and are fitted with the receptor section of a quarter-turn locking mechanism. The plate members preferably have the insertion section of a quarter-turn locking mechanism bonded to their underside. The plate elements may comprise ceramic, metal or clay tiles, photo-voltaic cells or may be components of a larger assembly such as a walkway. |
