The wind energy plant has a wind rotor (3), so that an asynchronous generator (4) is propelled with doubles energy. A static frequency changer (5) is provided for supplying electricity into a network. A static frequency changer regulator (7) cooperates with a mode selector in such a manner, that it is switched between two modes of operation, a normal mode of operation and a high load mode of operation, by which the excitation of the generator is decreased in relation to normal mode of operation. An independent claim is also included for a method for regulating a wind energy plant with a wind rotor to propel an asynchronous generator with doubles energy. |
