An automatic search method and an image apparatus using the same are provided to filter several characters from added information received from the outside, generate a keyword and search by using the generated keyword, thereby obtaining search result without directly inputting the keyword. Added information is received(S330). Characters satisfying several conditions are deleted from the received added information and a keyword is generated(S350). A search process is performed with regard to the generated keyword and related information(S360~S390).
