Disclosed is a flake glass filler containing flake glasses having a thickness of not less than 0.01 mum but not more than 2.0 mum in an amount of not less than 90% by mass and being composed of flake glasses having an average thickness of not less than 0.1 mum but less than 0.5 mum. Also disclosed is a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin and a flake glass filler which contains flake glasses having a thickness of not less than 0.01 mum but not more than 2.0 mum in an amount of not less than 90% by mass, while being composed of flake glasses having an average thickness of not less than 0.1 mum but less than 0.5 mum.
