A kelp pill for a health food, and a method for preparing the kelp pill for a health food are provided to improve the portability, thereby enhancing the convenience of administration. A kelp pill for a health food comprises 70 wt% of the kelp powder which is prepared by pulverizing kelp into a size of 80-100 mesh; 26 wt% of a side material which comprises 10 wt% of a mugwort powder, 2 wt% of a Glycyrrhizae Radix powder, 5 wt% of a malt powder, 3 wt% of a Angelicae Gigantis Radix powder, 2 wt% of a Atractylodes japonica KOIDZ powder, and 4 wt% of an oligosaccharide; and 4 wt% of a glutinous rice powder.
