A dividable safety lower case for an aluminum roller blind is proposed, consisting of two independent profiles, with an incorporated mechanism for automatic braking-locking in a guide. The operation principle of the said mechanism is based on the sliding of the one profile relative to the other at an angle, which causes an increase in the width of the assembly within a guide having constant dimensions, with a concomitant decrease in its height. As a result, this is wedged in the guide by friction forces. Aim of the proposed design is the additional securing of the roller blind against eventual breaching and accidents and the enhancement of its strength against loads and wind pressures. |
