FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production of iron-chromium-aluminium alloy by pyrometallurgical method possessing high operating life. Alloy contains wt %: aluminium 4-8, chromium 16-24, silicon 0.05-1, manganese 0.001-0.5, yttrium 0.02-0.2, zirconium 0.1-0.3, or zirconium 0.1-0.3 and hafnium 0.02-0.2, carbon 0.003-0.05, magnesium 0.0002-0.05, calcium 0.0002-0.05, nitrogen max. 0.04, phosphorus max. 0.04, sulphur max 0.01 S, copper max. 0.5, iron and common, conditioned by melting impurities - the rest. Hafnium can be completely or partially replaced with one or several of elements, chosen from the group: scandium, titanium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum or cerium.
