FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: object of invention is to upgrade quality of rounds due to stabilisation of geometrical dimensions. The system of roll passes incorporates oval roll passes of specified dimensions made in rollers of duo stands of a section mill; the said roll passes alternate with roll passes of different shape. Stability of a stock in roll passes at rolling is achieved owing to ratio of width B of the leader oval pass of the last but one stand and its height H, which is K=1.20...1.85, while in the following oval passes in the direction counter to rolling motion the value of ratio is Bi/Hi=K(0.880...0.885).e0,12i, where i is a sequence number of the oval pass in the said direction; also the number of oval passes is equal to 4...6; stands with round or square "to diagonal" passes can be located between stands with oval passes. ^ EFFECT: upgraded quality of rounds. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex |
