An air-conditioning system for hybrid electric vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to maximize the use of regenerative brake energy by using SOC of battery, the internal resistance, temperature etc. An air-conditioning system for hybrid electric vehicle comprises an interface signal part(10) including a battery temperature sensor(11), a battery voltage sensor(12), a battery current sensor(13), and a regeneration braking control part(14); an air conditioning control BMS(20) including a battery managing and controlling unit(21), a battery air-conditioning motor controller(22), a battery air-conditioning motor driver(23), a vehicle indoor air conditioning controller(24), an air compressor driving unit(25) and a clutch control unit(26); and a battery and indoor air conditioning drive part(30) including a first and a second battery air-conditioning motor(32), a battery air-conditioning actuator(33), an electric air compressor(34), an air compressor clutch(35), a vehicle indoor air conditioning actuator(36). |
