A steer-by-wire system is provided to prevent that the steering column rotates. A steer-by-wire system comprises a sensor sensing the torque variation according to the rotation of the steering column(54) and steering angle, a ECU controlling the reaction force motor and gear-box according to signal to sensor, a column lock mechanism(70) fixing the steering column in the starting off. The column lock mechanism includes a slider(72) combined in the starting off in the steering column, a driving part running slider, a guide rail(74) guiding the linear motion of slider.
