A core for filter element is provided to need no separate sealing body, to reduce number of components and to save cost by forming integrally a ceiling part of a ring type band shape with the cap on a central part. A core for filter element is inserted into inner side of a filtration part(10) and supports a filtration part and comprises a peripheral wall portion(22) and a hollow(21). A plurality of penetration holes are formed at a peripheral wall portion. The hollow is formed in inner side of the peripheral wall portion.
