It is intended to provide a means whereby various mental or physical conditions such as stress and fatigue, which have been evaluated exclusively depending on subjective symptoms so far, can be objectively and specifically evaluated. More specifically speaking, a stress or fatigue indicator which contains at least two factors selected from the group consisting of IL-1F, IL-1ra, IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, IL-9, IL-10, IL-11, IL-12, IL-13, IL-15, IL-17, IL-18, Eotaxin, FGF basic, G-CSF, GM-CSF, IFN-gamma, IFN-alpha, IP-10, MCP-1, MIP-1alpha, MIP-1beta, PDGF-BB, RANTES, TNF-alpha, VEGF, CSF-2, TGF-beta, neutrophin 5, MCP-3, beta-2-microglobulin, angiotensin II, CSF-3, CXC chemokine ligand 1, CXC chemokine ligand 5 and HGF; an agent for testing stress or fatigue which contains at least two kinds of molecules selected from the group consisting of molecules specifically recognizing the above-described factors respectively; a method of measuring stress or fatigue by using the test agent as described above; and an indicator for evaluating the mental conditions or the severity of a mental disorder which comprises at least two factors selected from the group of the factors as cited above at a weighted composition ratio. |
