<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio information recording system capable of associating pieces of voice information different by dot patterns, and reproducing the same voice information with a plurality of different patterns. <P>SOLUTION: A link table is generated, voice information is associated by dot patterns, and then, voice information associated with the dot pattern is reproduced from a speaker when the dot pattern is read by means of a scanner. In this manner, the dot pattern is printed on the surface of a material such as a picture book or a card, making it possible to play back voice information corresponding to the pattern or the story of a picture book and to play back voice information corresponding to a character described on the card.
