PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display more pieces of information, and to enhance browsability in an electronic program guide. SOLUTION: It is determined whether service information acquired at present agrees with a service immediately before in TSID, and if the acquired service is the same as the service, immediately prior to in TSID (Yes), the processing advances to a step S6, and a program display box is redisplayed for the service of the same TSID. When it is different from the service immediately prior to TSID (No), the processing advances to a step S7, and a program display box is displayed as a different service. In either case, it is determined in step S8 whether all information is acquired. If it is "No", the processing returns to step S4; and if it is "Yes", the processing advances to step S9 to perform EPG display. Namely, a processing loop of the redisplay and display of the program display boxes is continued, until it is decided in step S8 that all the information has been acquired.
