PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibration device which can be sealed airtightly with high reliability, by using a base capable of suppressing temperature gradient within the base during the airtight sealing. SOLUTION: The base 1, made of an insulating material, having a recessed portion 3 in which a piezoelectric vibration element is stored and an annular bank portion 2, enclosing the recessed portion 3 and having a metal sealing member formed peripherally on its top surface, is such that a heat conducting portion 5, which extends along the depth of the bank portion 2 and is made of a metal conductor, is formed at 1 or more locations in the bank portion or/and on internal flanks, at least on long-edge sides of the base 1.
