PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having cleaning function of an exposing part and a charging part for preventing damage of image or deterioration of image quality for a long period, and capable of efficiently performing cleaning according to density control to suppress trouble of color fluctuation. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image forming part 15 including an exposure device 27 for exposing a photoreceptor 20 uniformly charged by an electrifier 26 to form an electrostatic latent image; a charging cleaning part for cleaning the electrifier 26; an exposure cleaning part for cleaning the exposure device 27; a toner density detection sensor 24 for detecting toner density of an intermediate transfer belt 22 at a predetermined time; a toner density storage part for storing the detection result by the sensor 24 for every detection; a comparison part for comparing sequential detection results stored in the storage part; and a control circuit for driving each cleaning part when the difference between the sequential detection result compared by the comparison part exceeds a threshold.
