PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flush toilet capable of preventing steam in a water storage tank from exerting adverse effects such as the corrosion of machinery and water in the water storage tank from flowing backward to a feed pipe to the water storage tank. SOLUTION: The flush toilet is provided with a booster pump 22 for forcefully feeding cleaning water in the water storage tank 20 which is provided approximately at the same height as a toilet body to the toilet body; jet-side feed pipes 40 and 46; a rim-side feed pipe 38; and the machinery such as the booster pump housed in a casing 11 covering the water storage tank and the booster pump. The flush toilet has a vacuum breaker 42 or 48 connected to either the jet-side or the rim-side feed pipe and a vent tube 50 having one end connected to an upper part of the water storage tank and communicating with the inside of the water storage tank. The vacuum breaker has a top plate 42g approximately covering its upper surface, and the other end of the vent tube is formed in such a way as to be opened toward the top plate.
