PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a climbing crane suitably installable when a steel-frame building, a reinforced concrete building, or a steel-frame reinforced concrete building is constructed in a narrow space. SOLUTION: A lift 4 is so structured as to be liftable along a mast 3 separately from a turning body 2. The lift 4 and a base 5 are extendable or foldable to retract to the length allowing them to pass between opening part beams 7, 7 on a pressure story and extend to the length necessary for placing them on the opening part beams 7 and supporting the load of the crane.
