PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a die capable of achieving long die life. SOLUTION: The die 1 includes: a fixed die 2; and a movable die 3 combined with the fixed die 2 and further forming an internal space S at which a product 31 is cast in a gap between itself and the fixed die 2. The die 1 is provided with a die member 12 constituting at least either the fixed die 2 or movable die 3; and an insert 21 fitted into the die member 12. The die member 12 and the insert 21 cooperatively form a die face 41 prescribing a part of the internal space S.
