PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending machine which is higher in bending accuracy than before. SOLUTION: In this bending machine 10, bending work is performed by holding a workpiece W with a workpiece supporting unit 40 which is supported with a first linear motion base 51 and pressing a forming tool 70 against the workpiece W by a forming tool driving mechanism 60 which is supported with a second linear motion base 63. Here, A pair of holding members 44, 44 between which the workpiece W can be held is provided on the first linear motion base 51 and, on the other hand, a pair of holding guides 73, 73 for closing the pair of those holding members 44, 44 on the side of the second linear motion base 63 is provided.
