PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting mold capable of attaining a long service life by suppressing occurrence of meniscus cracks due to thermal stress and watering groove structure. SOLUTION: In the continuous casting mold casting a slab, watering grooves 16 to 18 provided at the back face side of a cooling member 10 composing a short side or a long side are formed of a space part 20 formed between the adjoining tightening means groups in the cooling member 10 and a supporting member 13 provided with partition parts 22, 23 whose tip faces are abutted on the bottom face thereof, and as for the water conducting grooves 16 to 18, the inner width W1 at the lateral part in the tightening means 12 directly below the meniscus is made narrower than the inner width W2 between the tightening means 12 in the upper and lower directions, also, the depth D1 at the lateral part is made deeper than the depth D2 between the tightening means 12 in the upper and lower directions, and the flat cross-sectional area of the water conducting grooves 16 to 18 in the lateral part is controlled to the range of -20 to +20% of the flat cross-sectional area of the water conducting grooves 16 to 18 between the tightening means 12 in the upper and lower directions.
