In the light emitting device, a compensating circuit is arranged in series for each organic EL element when the organic EL elements are electrically connected in parallel, and the compensating circuit is arranged in parallel for each organic EL element when the organic EL elements are electrically connected in series. When the organic EL elements are electrically connected in the combination of serial connection and parallel connection, the compensating circuit is arranged for each organic EL element by both parallel connection and serial connection.</p>
