<p>A power transmission device interconnects a driving body and a driven body by a connection member, transmits torque of the driving body to the driven body, and interrupts the torque when a driving load of the driven body exceeds a predetermined value. The connection member has, as separate portions in the connection member, a positive torque transmission section and a negative torque transmission section. The positive torque transmission section holds torque in the normal rotation direction and, when a driving load of the driven body exceeds the predetermined value, breaks to interrupt transmission of torque from the driving body. The negative torque transmission section holds torque in the reverse rotation direction. Even if there is a torque variation on the driving body side, the torque transmission device minimizes its influence and can accurately interrupt torque at an aimed torque interruption value. The torque transmission device is simply constructed and has excellent assemblability.</p> |
