A network administrator which confirms the received message displayed on an output device inputs an authentication result into a setting terminal by operating an input device such as a keyboard. Upon receipt of the authentication result from the network administrator, the setting terminal registers a MAC address of a business trip person's terminal that is a transmission source of an authentication request on a network device as a permitted object for the use when the received authentication result indicates that the use of the network device is permitted. After completion of the registration to the network device, the setting terminal transmits the authentication result indicating that the use of the network device is permitted to the business trip person's terminal that is the transmission source of the authentication request.
